What Is Copyright Theft

A person or organisation commits an act of Copyright theft when they utilise another person’s or organisation’s intellectual property or original works without permission.

Theft on the internet is most notably recognised as the taking of original and copyrighted concepts, words, works, names and other original works, and then slightly altering these works to look like the original works of a different person or organisation.

The theft of intellectual Property is often then placed on another website for purposes of Commerce, so to directly compete with the original website which created and owns the original works.

This is a Copyright Infringement.

It is also Theft, and can be prosecuted as such.

All persons associated with the direct act of the copyright infringement or theft, and all persons associated with the ownership, technical references, hosting, or otherwise technically aiding any website or other medium which has illegally reproduced intellectual properties, are also liable and prosecutable under Law.
